Removal From a Mailing List

One year after the date of their original subscription, students will be sent a message asking whether they wish to confirm their subscription to their class' mailing list. If they confirm their subscription, they will be kept on the list for another year or until they remove themselves. Some students wish to remove themselves earlier; those students may remove themselves by following these instructions.

Send a message addressed to listserv@listserv.uconn.edu containing a single line in the following form:

unsub LISTNAME

with LISTNAME replaced by the name of the mailing list. Make sure that line is in the body of the message, not in the subject line. It should be the only line in the body of the message and start in the first column. The subject of the message is ignored by the listserv software and may be left blank.

Note that this method of removing oneself from a mailing list is universal for mailing lists using listserv and listproc software.
