About Me

I was born and raised in Modesto, California. I did my undergraduate studies at California State University, Stanislaus. I received my master's degree in mathematics from San Francisco State. My thesis advisor was Professor Joseph Gubeladze. I received my Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Barbara in June 2014. While at UCSB, I studied differential geometry under Professor Guofang Wei. For information on my research, please see Research. I was a visiting assistant professor at the University of Connecticut, Storrs campus, for two years, before moving to my current position as Assistant Professor in Residence at the University of Connecticut, Hartford campus. I also coordinate the Q Center here at the Hartford Campus. For more information on our Q Center, please click here

Besides mathematics research, I really enjoy teaching. If you're in one of my classes, I hope this will be very apparent. Please stop by my office to say hi and introduce yourself. I enjoy getting to meet and know my students! More importantly, I want you to be as successful as possible in my class. For information on my teaching, please see Teaching.

As a native Californian growing up in the Central Valley, I still find snow a bit novel and winters way too cold. I enjoy baking and yoga and being a mom to my 1 year old son, Elliot.
