Question 2.1   How do I change my password?

To change your password, you need to change it on the password server. Type

ssh pwserver passwd You will be asked for your current, and new passwords.

Please choose passwords that are difficult to guess. There are many automated tools to steal passwords. A good password probably contains other than lower case letters, is not a dictionary word, and is not associated with you.

Of course you should never give your password to anyone.
