five pages of hand-written notes and a printed page of Laplace transforms are allowed

Grading policy: there will be 3 midterm tests in class. Each midterm test contributes 30% for the final grade. All quizzes together will be worth 10%. The final exam can replace up to two midterm tests. When the final grade is computed, the lowest scores are not included.

Syllabus: Chapters 1-5 (see below) and the first half of Chapter 6.

HW: read the assigned sections, including examples, and do the suggested exercises. Ask questions in class. HW is not graded.
