We are pleased to announce the NEW Data Analyst Development Program that will be beginning in the summer of 2001. The Data Analyst Development Program develops candidates to enter the data analyst field. The program provides hands-on experience in one of the most critical fields that support the financial services industry through training and rotational assignments individually tailored to create optimum learning and development.

Participants complete important and challenging assignments in a two year program designed to produce quantitative analysts and data manipulation programmers. The Data Analyst Development Program is comprised of a core set of required courses, followed by rotational assignments in Database Marketing, Database Acquisition, Risk Management, Information Reporting, and Customer Relationship Management. Assignments are both team-based and individual, and encompass areas of quantitative analysis, customer acquisition, and risk analysis. The program moves people across integrated functions for development and experience, and provides continuous coaching and mentoring to help match individual development needs with People’s business needs. Program participants have ready access to senior and executive management, including mentoring by a senior officer.

People’s is looking for candidates that are capable of managing a diverse workload and building business experience in a fast-paced, action-oriented environment. Analytical creativity, research and problem-solving skills are essential to succeed in this program. Candidates should have a college degree or be currently enrolled in a college degree program with 15 or more completed credits in one of the following disciplines OR have equivalent work experience:

Math or Statistics

Economics or Econometrics

Business

Applied Psychology or Quantitative Sociology

Computer Science

Biology, Physics or other Science

Other Quantitative Discipline

Upon satisfactory completion of the program, the candidate is eligible for an analytical position within the organization.
