Course description: Introduction to the theory of probability. Sets and counting, probability axioms, conditional probabilities, random variables, limit theorems.

This is an Honors version of Math 3160, with the emphasis on theoretical foundations of elementary probability.

Lecture times:  Tuesday, Thursday   2:00-3:15 PM.

Lecture place:  MONT 420.

Grading: quizzes 15%, two midterm exams 25% each, and final exam 35%.

Course rules: No late assignments will be accepted. No make-up exams or quizzes will be given.

Homework: there will be homework assigned and posted on the Piazza course page.

This term we will be using Piazza for class discussion. The system is highly catered to getting you help fast and efficiently from your classmates and myself.
