Instructor: Bill Abikoff
Text: Foundations of Geometry, 2nd Edition, by
Gerard Venema
Meeting times: 11 to 12:15 TuTh in MSB 319.
This course was
originally designed to provide high school teachers with the
geometric insights needed by their students and, even more, to
give them sufficiently much knowledge that they could excite and
motivate their students. To wit, the course makes few demands on
its students in terms of prerequisites. It is a course designed
for preparation of K-12 teachers but it developed a conflicting
interest. Students took the course to satisfy a mathematics
minor requirement.
The course has been, or soon will be, removed from the list of
courses that can be used to satisfy a mathematics minor.

My office hours are or soon will be listed here.
I will almost always be available during office
hours or by appointment. e-mail is the most reliable means of
contacting me.
The list of homework assignments is given via the hypertext
links below. The list is a work in progress and will change as
the semester progresses.
New and important is a place where I'll put items as needed.
